This first setup looks at one of the simplest yet most effective ONE LIGHT setup I’ve ever used. This can also be achieved with very basic kit and even a speed light too. All that’s required is a little arts and crafts prior to shooting but that’s about it.
Ever wanted to shoot one of most beautifying lighting setups around? Not sure how many lights you’ll need? Thankfully with this setup, it really is only ONE LIGHT. With a little ingenuity and careful light placement, turn even the smallest space into a studio and shoot incredibly flattering shots every single time with this clever little DIY modifier.
… but with a twist. This setup takes a simple setup and removes some of its flaws. This is an adaption of a classic look that puts a bright light behind the subject. With this setup we reduce the concern for blown highlights with this clever little addition and refinement.
Getting creative at home or in your studio can be tricky. Sometimes we aren’t photographing professional models or actors and sometimes we need to add a little interest to a shot without having to rely on the subject. This quick little setup gets you looking at other household items in a new light (literally).
No space No problem. This setup can be utilised in the smallest of home studios, it produces a very creative effect with the use of colour and you only need 2 lights and a couple of soft boxes. What’s not to love?!
This last section sees me offering some words of encouragement and final points to remember. Plus the last few pages provides you some further training options too.
Keep your eyes open for Book 2 where I’ll be going over some more practical tips with regards to shooting in the studio.
I’ll share ‘must-have’ items for your kit bag, discuss the best lens for portraits, how to contact and book professional models for your next shoot, plus I‘ll also provide you with an exercise that enables you to unlock your photographic style.
Good News: If you’ve downloaded Book 1, you’ll be among the first to know when Book 2 is released via the email you provided.
